2008 Nissan Pathfinder

The 2008 Nissan Pathfinder is a four door sport utility vehicle that has evolved into a V8 which provides some real muscle. The pathfinder has been a staple of the Nissan Fleet and is one of the brand’s longest running nameplates. This midsize SUV’s success is based on its ability to rapidly change with times to stay ahead of the curve. That has meant growing in size, power and features at a sometimes breakneck pace. When it was redesigned several years ago, the Pathfinder picked up a body-on-frame design and for 2008 Nissan makes good use of this toughness by adding the 5.6-liter V8 the Titan full-sized pickup with a rating of 310 horsepower. Its available in all but the base models. A 266 horsepower 4.0-liter V6 is not the base engine and, like the V8, is mated to a five speed automatic transmission. On the inside, the 2008 Nissan Pathfinder comes with a standard third row seat. When not needed, either or both split folding rear benches, as well as the passenger side bucket, can be folder flat to accommodate lengthy/bulky cargo. Other add-ons include dual-zone climate control, leather interior with heated front seats, power adjustable foot pedals, a DVD based navigation system with a seven inch screen, a rear seat DVD entertainment unit, wood-trimmed interior, satellite radio, and MP3 compatible Bose audio system with 6 disk CD changer. Anti-lock brakes are standard while side-impact airbags and ceiling mounted side-impact airbags are extra cost options. Changes for 2008 are limited to some interior/wheel/trim updates. Mileage city/highway is estimated at 16/23.
